Alight has opened a market in our Brooklyn Park warehouse. Recently arrived Afghan families can come shop for furnishings, home essentials or whatever they need to complete their homes - free of charge. Families can schedule an appointment here.
CONNECTING FAMILIES TO SUPPORT
Alight Guides are helping Afghan families navigate their journey. We're connecting women and youth to strengthen community ties through monthly field trips and weekly socials. And we're offering financial and computer literacy workshops, and providing 'concierge' support to answer questions as they arise.

In January, AlighT began welcoming newly arrived Afghan families to Minnesota. With support from some amazing local partners, volunteers and so many generous donors, we setup homes for 131 families. NEWCOMER FAMILIES walked through their front door for the first time to find all the essentials they needed to settle in and begin building a life in this community.
